About the Author

Dr Abhijit Bandyopadhyay is Secretary of Indian Foot and Ankle Society. He is serving as the Consultant Orthopaedic and Foot and Ankle Surgeon in Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital and CMRI, Kolkata. Dr. Abhijit Bandyopadhyay has done his undergraduate and post graduate from Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College & Hospital. He has completed MCh in Orthopaedics from University of Dundee, UK. He has been trained in foot ankle surgery from various universities, including Alabama University, University of Texas Medical Branch, University of Basel and Hong-Kong University. Dr. Abhijit Bandyopadhyay has done his AO Fellowship in Foot Ankle Surgery from Dresden University, Germany and AO Fellowship in Trauma from Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong. He has also completed his training in Reconstructive (Ilizarov) Surgery from Kurgan, Russia. He has received the Niers National Excellence Healthcare Award in Orthopaedic Surgery. Recently he was awarded as Fellow of American College of Surgery (FACS). He has served as Editor of IJOS (International Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery) and Assistant Editor of JFAS(AP). He is credited with numerous publications in national and international journals
